About the System
The Ministry of Health Bus Management System is a digital platform designed to support the management and efficient operation of Ministry-owned buses.
The system provides a structured way for Ministry staff and approved users to request transportation, subscribe to available bus routes, monitor bookings and manage bus operations.
It also provides an avenue for authorised users to request buses for approved private or institutional activities such as funerals, weddings, beach trips, community activities, meetings and other events, subject to availability and Ministry policies.
Supporting Affordable Staff Transportation
One of the main objectives of the initiative is to reduce the transportation burden on Ministry of Health staff by providing an organised and affordable transportation service through a cost-recovery model.
Rather than operating the buses solely as a free service, the cost-recovery approach is intended to contribute towards fuel, maintenance, servicing, insurance and other operational expenses while keeping transportation costs affordable for staff.
Our Objectives
Reduce Transportation Costs
Help reduce the amount Ministry staff spend travelling between their homes, offices and approved destinations.
Improve Route Management
Provide an organised platform for managing routes, schedules, passengers and bus availability.
Improve Accountability
Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, vehicle usage, mileage and operational activities.
Support Maintenance
Generate operational information that can assist management with vehicle servicing and maintenance planning.
Improve Staff Welfare
Provide a dependable transportation option that contributes to the welfare and convenience of Ministry personnel.
Digital Management
Replace manual transportation records with a centralised digital system for better monitoring and reporting.
How the System Works
Staff members can register on the platform and access available transportation services based on their eligibility and assigned routes.
Users can submit transportation requests by specifying their preferred date, destination, number of passengers and other relevant information.
Transport administrators can review requests, assign buses and drivers, manage schedules and monitor vehicle utilisation.
The system can also maintain records of payments, mileage, maintenance and other operational information required for effective management.
Private and Special Requests
Subject to Ministry approval and availability, buses may also be requested for approved private or special events.
Examples may include weddings, funerals, beach trips, family events, community activities and other appropriate occasions.
Such requests are reviewed separately to ensure that official Ministry transportation requirements remain the priority.
